Prospective Student,

Conch Republic Divers is offering Advanced Technical training certification courses in TDI Advanced Nitrox/Decompression Procedures, CCR Normoxic Trimix, and Advanced Wreck Diving with instructors Richie Kohler and Capt. Gary Mace. These technical courses are a great stepping stone for the diver interested in technial diving.

Students must met the requirements outline in Class Requirements. This is not SEAL training, and we have a lot of fun in this program, but we are requiring a physician’s sign off for all participants. Student safety is our number one priority. There is a list of required equipment for the course as well, and we will be sending the students their texts in advance. All of the reading and comprehension tests will be done prior to arrival.

Students need to understand the importance of showing up for the class prepared. We will be hitting the ground running and it is imperative that students are ready with the information from the texts, and possess all the necessary equipment. A big part of this program is assisting our students with equipment configuration and adjustment, but you need to arrive with the basics.

Program Overview

Students can take only one or combine classes to suit their goals. These programs offer intense instruction and training in the planning and execution of deep technical decompression dives involving the use of nitrox/trimix, stage bottles, gas switches, planned and emergency decompression procedures and shipwreck penetration for both open circuit and CCR divers. Weather permitting, the training will include dives on the wrecks of the Spiegel Grove, Eagle, Duane, and Bibb.

Equipment List

We run the dives for this program on the shipwrecks near to Conch Republic Divers, like the Spiegel Grove, the Bibb, the Duane, and the Eagle. We need everyone properly equipped for training in the wreck environment and the course(s) they are taking.
This equipment list below is somewhat long and detailed; however, this is the life support equipment that we feel you need for your training. We have tried not to burden you with unnecessary equipment that you will never use. The items on this list are here because they will be used by you in your training, and they are absolutely necessary for you to manage the inherent risk of the technical wreck environment as you venture beyond the course. The bottom line is that you need all of this stuff. You certainly cannot venture into decompression diving, or an overhead environment, if you are unarmed, or unprepared.
If the necessary equipment is problematic, then perhaps you should reconsider your goals, or your timeline for achieving your goals?

Class Requirements / Schedule

This event is scheduled for dives on April 23rd - May 02nd, weather permitting, out of Conch Republic Divers in Tavernier, Florida. You can take one or all of the classes offered. They are scheduled in such a way to allow maximum partisipation.

For Quality and Safety Class Sizes Will Be Limited

This price includes all instruction, text books, certification fees, boat fees, dive gases, all cylinders, and lunch. Not included are lodging, transportation, breakfast, and dinner. Lodging can be arranged thru Conch Republic Divers.
